Child Day Care Center Use and Mental Stress of Working Mothers

Background: Some of the working mothers use child day care center (CDCC) for their children to reduce mental stress. This study was designed assess association between stress and use. Methods: comparative cross sectional conducted among 106 whom 53 were CDCC users non-users from January December, 2019. Data collected by face interview a semi-structured questionnaire. Mental estimated Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). analyzed Statistical Package Social Sciences. Quality control checks data done. All ethical issues maintained strictly in different stages informed written consent taken each individual. Results: Mean (±SD) age 32.92(± 2.901) 33.55(± 3.160) years respectively. Average monthly family income Tk.191698.11 Tk. 209433.96 non-users. Majority (67.9%) lived nuclear while 67.9% joint family. Mothers had significantly higher (85.5%) who maid servant comparison not (75.0%) suffered illness compared did suffer it significant (p<0.05).
